“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sun shining into trees.” -John Muir.
Local Artist Maggie makes candles in a mountain cabin hidden away just outside Mt. Rainier National Park.
Living so near the Nisqually Entrance, its easy to see why Maggie is so passionate aouut the parks. “It’s a privilege to live so close a national park. Regular excercise, combined with the peace of nature has made me happier than I’ve ever been. I hope that the contribution I make with the candles helps our parks in some small way.”
Vedge Candles are available on a retail site, an Etsy store, and locally.
When not making candles, you can usually find Maggie hiking the trails of Longmire and Paradise. Her love of Washington's National Parks-and the many photos she takes on each trip-inspired a local line of candles named for some must-see attractions. If you too are passionate about our parks, please donate, get a National Parks license plate, or purchase Maggie’s candles locally or online.
A portion of the sales on these candles is donated to wnpf.org. See our feature here
